Springtime Lulu

Another gloomy wet day - typical as it's my day off but means staying in and crafting so not all bad!
Today i have a nice summery card to share with you. It features one of the new Kraftin Kimmie Stamps from the Springtime Lulu Set. I do love Lulu i think she is very cute and i have quite a few of these now, so here she is on the swing!
I thought i had better break open my new Echo Park Hello Summer as it's been sat on my desk for a few days and omg i love it and can see why it's so popular! I might need to get two of these as i love it so much - you know just incase i run out of it lol.
I also used my Magnolia Swirl Die, Dienamics Butterflies and Nesties for the ovals. I coloured her with Copics and added touches of Stickles to her dress to make her sparkle!

I better dash as i am off to the shop to wait for the new Dienamics & Stamps that are due for delivery this afternoon - yay can't wait!!!

Don't forget you can still enter our competition on the post below to win a TGF Stamp!

We need your help ...

Hi everyone and happy Friday!   I love Fridays as it's almost the weekend - yippee! You could even say "Thank Goodness it's Friday!" which shortens to TGF which is also an acronym of THE GREETING FARM! Hmmmm....

So you may be wondering why the title of this post is asking for your help?  Well, the MMCS DT are trying our very best to persuade Kitty to stock the latest The Greeting Farm stamps at My Mum's Craft Shop.  We all love these adorable stamps and hope you do too!

Can you help us persuade her?  Leave a comment here under this post telling Kitty that she absolutely MUST stock these stamps and tell us what your favourite TGF 'line' is as well.  Do you prefer Anya and Ians, or Miss Anyas? Perhaps the Cheeky gals or Wild Sprouts are more your style?  Or do you like the slightly gothic Creeper Crew style stamps or maybe the clear sets?

CANDY ALERT
Everyone who leaves a comment on this post answering the above question will be entered into the draw to win a TGF stamp!  You have until midnight on Monday (30 April) to enter. If you win, you can choose Twirl Anya or Creeper Crew Monday to come home to live with you:

There are some older TGF stamps in stock right now at the MMCS store, and ALL the individual stamps are the BARGAIN price of only £4.00 each - eeek!  This is such an awesome price! MMCS has one of the RETIRED Wild Sprouts (Bree) still in stock, and as this stamp is no longer available at TGF, MMCS is probably one of the only places you can still buy her!

These stamps are deeply etched red rubber and already come mounted onto cling, so it really is just a case of slapping them on an acrylic block and away you go!  And I can personally vouch for their superb quality.  Also they are perfect for cutting out and popping up on foam pads - something that is impossible with some very detailed stamps.

Here is a card I made a while back using Wild Sprouts Ebony, which is availabe to buy for only £4 in the MMCS store HERE:

And here are a couple of cards I made with one of the *new* TGF May 2012 release stamps called "Cheeky Geeky" - she's so new that she won't be released at The Farm until 1st May!!!!  We would love Kitty to stock these, so please help us in our quest to persuade her!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Birthday girl

Morning everyone!

Well here we are at Tuesday again and so far it looks like today might be better than yesterday..... I wish this weather would make up its mind what its doing!!

Well today I have another simple but pretty birthday card to show you.

The image is the beautiful swiss pixie birthday Lucy by CC designs and has been coloured using a selection of copic ciaos that are also available to purchase from the store.

I have used one of my favourite paper pads Spring Drop by Limited Edition.  There is a mixture of double sided, glittered  and glossy papers in this pad and they are all gorgeous.

Kitty has a selection of Magnolia Dies and here I have used 'Tilda Lace' and 'DoHickey Tag'.

The sentiment is from a pack of pre stamped and cut birthday sentiments from craftwork cards.  I always like to have a stash of these things close to hand.

The card has then been finished with a bow made from web ribbon (again something my craft table is never complete without!) and four little pink dew drops.

I hope you agree, very simple but very sweet aswell.

There are even more fantastic goodies arriving in store over the next couple of weeks including the fabulous new Kraftin Kimmie stamps!!  I can't wait for them!!!!

Have a wonderful day...... see you next week

Daffodil Charlotte

Hi everyone! Another week, another card from me (Simonne), and this time I've got a new Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps Daffodil Charlotte creation for you:

Supplies
SCRS Daffodil Charlotte rubber stamp
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Copic Markers
Kraft, White, Coredinations Colorcore Heartfelt & Aegean cardstock
MME Miss Caroline Dolled Up 6x6 paper pad
Back2Basics Straight Edge 148mm Square White card blank
Stickles Glitter Glue
MFT Die-namics Prima Donna Petals
MMCS Yellow Hydrangea Daisy and WOC Turquoise Sweetheart Blossom
4mm flatback pearls
7mm Pale Blue satin ribbon
Turquoise/White Twill Stripe ribbon

Products highlighted in pink are available from My Mum's Craft Shop.

I was super excited to use my new MFT Die-namics Prima Donna Petals die for the first time!! This die set has been on my wishlist for ages, and I was so pleased to finally buy it from My Mum's Craft Shop!  It makes the most fabulous flowers and the next time I use it I will try making one with felt. I think I should also try out some of the other MFT flower dies too - I feel a bit of a spend coming on, hehehe!  Oh, and if you're wondering where on earth I used Stickles, I added a few dabs to the drips of water coming out of the watering can ... but it's a tad hard to see in the photo!

If there is ever a product that you want to buy from the MMCS store that is showing as "out of stock", do drop Kitty an email as she will be able to let you know if she can order more in for you, or in the case of MFT Die-namics, add you to her pre-order book for when she next places a MFT order.  Some MFT dies fly off the shelves the minute they arrive in the shop, and I have missed out on several occasions for being a bit of a tortoise, lol!  So I would definitely recommend this to guarantee your order - it's what I did last time! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a fabulous Friday ... it's almost the weekend, woo-hoo!!!!

Hugs,

A cute and colourful Garden Gnome

Good Morning Everyone! Jane here today and I have a cute little mini card to share which I made using   a stamp from the Woodware Garden Gnomes set. I coloured the cute little gnome in with my Promarkers to match the paper I used from the Fancy Pants Childish things paper pad.

I layered the patterned paper onto pink card and sewed around the edges and wrapped the layers with ribbon before adding them to the card base. I added the image onto a scalloped circle before sticking it to the card base with foam pads and finishing with some flowers and a bow.
Have a lovely Thursday!

You had me at Woof!

Morning!

I'm not a dog lover, but I do have a soft spot for Pure innocence images. As that's what I fancied playing with, I grabbed one of the new releases; Puppy Girl and off I went!

Every once in a while, I get the urge to dig out one of my 'older' paper pads and on this occasion, I went for Jillibean Soup Dutch Mustard. I'd say it's one of my favs. but we all know as soon as the wind changes...!

However, I do have one consistent luuurve at the moment. It comes in the shape of Dies. So, it was very easy for me to use Die-Namics Tag You're It Die & Stamp Set, Die-Namics By The Letters and Memory Box Heart Chain Border. Kitty has a lot to answer for!

Bottle Covers

Have you seen the latest Dienamics Die & Stamp Set called Let's Toast? If not you are in for a treat as it's a massooosive set with loads of lovely sentiment and coordinating dies - i love it!
Here i have two lil covers that go over Wine Bottles or any type of drinks bottle to jazz it up a bit and give as gifts. They are very simple as i did these in one of the shop demonstrations recently! This first one i made to show you can use this set to make gifts for men - as let's face it they are always tricky buggers!!
This last one also features a new A La Mode Stamp - An Apple For Teacher. I made this as i thought it would be fab to use as a teacher gift - i've gotta start thinking up some ideas for these and won't be long before the end of term really!

Hopefully i will be bringing you more ideas using this set very soon, so watch ths space!!

New Kid on the Block

Firstly I would like to say a super duper huuuuuuuuuge Hello!! Im Zoe, and am absolutely thrilled to be the newbie here on the My Mums Craft Shop DT. Yay for me!!! Soo excited to be working alongside such a fabulous store - seriously - is there anything you could possibly need that you can't get from MMCS?? (If you can actually think of something - I have tried for a long time and can't, email Kitty and I am sure she will do her best to get it in for you!!)

Now, enough waffle - on to my card,

Isn't she gorgeous - this is Bella with Presents, she is new from Wild Rose Studio and is quite possibly the cutest elephant ever!! I have paired her up with her very own Bella paper pack! I have coloured her in with copic markers, and cut her out using square and scalloped square nestabilities. I layered the image onto a doily for some interest. Those adorable little butterflies were cut using MFT Die-namics butterfly die, and were finished off with some teeny pearls. I finished the card off with a little selection of flowers in the corner.

Well, i hope you all enjoy what is left of the weekend and I look forward to sharing with you all again - same time next week anyone ;)

MFT Sew Nifty

HI everyone! Quick Friday post from me today as we've got a whole day of family fun planned - yay!

I absolutely adore MFT Die-namics and stamps, and particularly love the combo die-namics and stamp sets! This is my most recent card I made with My Favorite Things Die-namics Sew Nifty and Stamp Set.

This week MMCS received tonnes of re-stocks of MFT Die-namics plus the newest MFT April release, woo-hoo, so don't forget to stop by the MFT Die-namics section of the store to take a gander.   And while you're at the store, check out the *NEW for April* section ... but be prepared to spend up large as there are sooooo many delicious new goodies!

Okay, must dash! Hope you have an awesome day and a fabby weekend! See you same time, same place next week! Laters peeps!

Playing with Wild Rose Studio Printed panels...

Good Morning! Jane here with my regular Thursday slot! I hope you are having a good week so far. I have been having some fun playing with some of the versatile Wild Rose Studio Printed panels to make some quick cards this week. I have also used some of the gorgeous new papers which have come into the shop this month. The pre-coloured images are perfect if you need to make a card in a hurry and do not have time to colour in a stamp.
My first card was made using a Fergus panel from a pack which is available here from My Mum's Craft shop.

The colours of the image coordinate beautifully with this paper from Prima which is from the Meadowlark pad. I also used some ribbon, a Hero Arts sentiment and some paper flowers from my stash. I finished the card with some stick on gems.
For my second card, I used a panel from the Milton panels pack and die cut it with a Spellbinders die before  adding it to a scalloped circle. The paper I used is by Bazzill and is from the Avalon pad.

I added some beautiful ribbon and some matching letter stickers to create my sentiment. I finished the card with a couple of little gems and some glitter glue on the centre of the flower.
Have a lovely Thursday!

Lets go Shopping!

Good morning!!  Hope you have had a great easter weekend and not eaten to much chocolate!
The sun is shining here in Dorset and now all we have to do is decide where to go and what to do.
So before the day starts I want to show you one of my latest cards.

I kept this very simple mainly because the image is quite large.

I have used Posh has a Present from Stamping Bella's Uptown girls range.  If only we all looked that glam after shopping!!  The papers are Alora from Bo Bunny.  The image is coloured with my pro markers in colours that compliment the papers.  The sentiment says 'I've shopped all my life and still have nothing to wear'.  This was just laying in my stash obviously waiting for this card!  A touch of faux stitching around the edges of the papers and the card is finished.

Have a great week and don't forget to keep an eye out on our challenge blog and get entering!!

See you next week

It's gonna be a bright sun shiny day!

Hi everyone! Today I have a card to share featuring the darling Sparkle Creations 'Surfing Oliver' rubber stamp. I'm secretly hoping that it will help to sprinkle a little sunshine and warmth as we could certainly do with some here in the South West of England, brrrrrrr!

I stamped Surfing Oliver in Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad and coloured him with Copic markers. I used some yummy Echo Park Splash 6x6 paper and distressed and embossed it. I cut some clouds from white felt using my My Favorite Things Die-namics Flat Bottom Clouds dies. The waves were cut using my My Favorite Things Die-namics Catch a Wave die and I added some white gel pen and some Stickles Glitter Glue to add detail to the crests of the waves! The teeny tiny sun was cut using one of the dies from the My Favorite Things Die-namics Notched Tag Die & Stamp Set (love the dies in this set!).  I also added some Glossy Accents to the lense of Oliver's goggles, but it's hard to see in the photo!

Wishing you all a wonderful Easter weekend! Try not to eat too much chocolate (...yeah, right, LOL!!!)

Thanks so much for dropping by!

Something to brighten your day!

Good Morning! Jane here today and I have been having lots of fun playing with the gorgeous new Bobunny papers which came into to the shop last week. The papers I have used on my card are from the Ambrosia pad which is available here. I layered some of the papers onto deep pink card from my stash and added some sewing around the edges.

I added some purple gingham ribbon from my stash and some pretty paper flowers. The image I used is by CC Designs and is called Swiss Pixie Birthday Lucy, it is the first time I have used any CC Designs stamps and she was so lovely to colour in with my Promarkers. The sentiment I added is from a Pure Innocence set which is available here. I finished the card with a couple of white pearls. I hope you have a lovely Thursday!

Wild Rose Wednesday!

I've got a bit of a thing about the new papers and stamps from Wild Rose Studio at the moment! They are so, scrummy. I've used the Bella Papers and teamed them up with Bella with Flowers. Aren't they adorable?

Of course, my other love is anything Die related right now, and this one is the Die-Namics Wonky Scallop Die. And if that's not pretty enough for you, add some Prima Alencon Lace!

Before I scoot off, have you seen all the New Arrivals in Store yet? Oh, you have GOT to take a look. And it's only 4 April!!

Spring is in the air!

First things first, I need to apologise for this post being so late in the day.... you see its my birthday so things have been pretty manic here..... I have been trying to get this done all day!

For my card today I have used the GORGEOUS papers from Prima.  These are from Meadow Lark and are just beautiful.... They are available in 6x6 and 12x12!!

For the butterflies I have used the Tim Holtz 'on the edge' butterflight die from Sizzix.   The stamp is Sweet Elaine from Nellie Snellen and she has been matted and layered using the oval nestabilites.

Pop on over to the shop and see all the new papers, dies and embellishments that are coming in thick and fast.
Have a great week and happy crafting xxxx
