Simple Flowers

Today i have a super quick card i whipped up using the fabby Jofy Stamps & some stencils. I meant to post this last week but naughty me got distracted by the shop and forgot, ooopsy!
I made this card to show that you can still be a bit inky but create something simple. I used some memento inks and a mask to create the spots & honeycomb just by brushing through the ink. I then stamped the sentiment in black and the Jofy flowers from Set 09 and coloured them with copics to match. I then added a few gems just to add a bit of sparkle. The whole piece is mounted onto turquoise cardstock and popped up onto 3d foam pads.

We will be back tomorrow with the new MMCS challenge launch :)

I am sailing!

Good Morning :)

It's Faye here, with a little dose of La-La to start your week off. This cutie is one of the newer images; Sailboat Luka from La-La Land Crafts, and the Flag Banner is a La-La Land Crafts Die too. Kitty is thinking about getting these products back in stock, so if you want them, you need to shout in her direction.

The papers are a selection of Echo Park. The Spots are Dots and Stripes Homefront and the red flags have been cut from Scoot. And have you noticed Echo Park A Perfect Summer Papers have arrived? And with that, I think I'm going to leave you to it!

A Prima MIxed Media Canvas

Hello Everyone! Jane here today and I have something a little bit different for me to share with you today. I have finally got around to using my Prima Mixed Media doll stamp and made a canvas.
The canvas is approximately 8x8 and the doll fits on it perfectly. I used radiant rain paints, cosmic shimmer sprays and distress inks with some masks to make the background which I then dried with my heat gun.

I used one of the new Artistic Stamper stamp sets for my sentiment which I stamped in the top right corner. I ripped pieces of Prima paper from the  Sunny Days pad and stuck them on the canvas and distressed them with Distress stains.

When they were in place and added lots of flowers on top including a new resin cabouchon which matched the papers perfectly and some wooden buttons and punched and wooden butterflies.

I stamped the doll onto one of the tags from the Prima Tag Pad and then coloured her in with my Promarkers. The dress was paper pieced using a paper from the Sunny Days Pad. I then cut her out and added her to the canvas using my glue gun. As a finishing touch, I dotted around a few words from the Tim Holtz chit chat stickers pad and some enamel dots and gems and pearls.
I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

Pippa loves to plant!

Well at long last we appear to be having some lovely sunny weather so in celebration of that I have a summery card to show you today for our Floral week...

I'm using this gorgeous Stamping Bella Uptown Girl Pippa Loves to Plant. This currently isn't in stock but as you know the Uptownies will be winging their way to MMCS very soon so you pre-order with Kitty now to make sure you get your fav Uptownies!!

I coloured Pippa with copics and paper pieced her apron, shorts and headscarf. Lyra pencil was used for the grass. These gorgeous papers are MME Notable- gorgeous for those lovely summery cards. The flowers have been made with a variety of Doohickey dies but I'm currently saving for some of the gorgeous flowery Dienamics Kitty stocks.

How cute and summery does she look?

Thank You Blooms

Hi there it's Shelly here with my card for this week's flower theme.

I knew I just had to use the gorgeous Sweet Roses stamps by My Favourite Things, along with their matching Roses and Leaves die.  I die cut the flower shapes first before stamping the solid flowers onto them in turquoise and coral ink.  I then stamped the flower outlines on top with brown ink to give some definition.  I did the same with the leaves, die cut the shapes first and then stamped the leaves onto them.  I have to admit to having a few attempts at positioning the stamps right on the dies but I got there in the end !

The stamp set comes with six sentiments and I've chosen the thank you sentiment for my card which I have stamped onto the Layered Label die by Die-namics.

The papers are from the Blank Canvas 6 x 6 pad by First Edition and I've matted everything onto brown cardstock to match my flowers.

I've finished off with some brown grosgrain ribbon and some Chocolate Heaven Pearls by the Hobby House.

That's all from me for now, have a fantastic day

Geisha Girls

Morning all :)

It's all about flowers here this week at My Mum's Craft Shop, (did you see our new bricks and mortar store is open now?! Whoot!) so I thought I'd show you some of the totally delish papers from one of the latest First Edition Paper Pads... New Bloom. These pads are such good value, you get a whopping 64 sheets per pad, some double sided, so you get even more flavours packed in, some glittered and some foiled.

The colours in New Bloom made me think of kimonos, for some reason, so out came two of my La-La Land Craft Stamps, one old, one new, and I think they go together really well, espesh with the papers. What do you think?

Flowers week at My Mum's Craft Shop

Hello Everyone! Jane here today and I am kicking off a Floral themed week on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog today. I have made a card using one of the gorgeous new Inklylicious stamps called 'Blowing Bubbles'. Unfortunately, it has sold out but there are loads of other fabulous Inkylicious shadow stamps in stock which would also look great on a card like this.

In keeping with the floral theme, I used a gorgeous backing paper from the Glitz Designs 'Uncharted Waters' pad. I stamped the image straight onto one of the backing papers and cut it out before I added it to a stamp edged die cut. The little words are from a Tim Holtz Chit Chat stickers pad.

I also added some Hessian mesh, some paper flowers and a heart pin and finished with a couple of tiny buttons and some stick on pearls. Make sure you join us all next week for some fabulous floral inspiration from the My Mum's Craft Shop DT! Have a lovely Sunday!

You Make Life Wonderful

Hi there everyone it's Shelly here with my card for this week.  It's free choice this week and I had a hard time deciding which of the new goodies from the shop to use!

I chose to use the cute Little Gardener clear stamp by Pure Innocence.  I coloured her with Copics, cut round her and mounted onto my card using foam pads.

I've also used the gorgeous 6 x 6 Collectable Memorable paper pad by My Minds Eye which has a gorgeous vintage feel and I've mounted all my panels onto Kraft cardstock.

The sentiment is from the stamp set, which includes five sentiments as well as the image so it's real value for money.

The gorgeous flowers are the new Cherry Blossoms by The Hobby House and these are from the Summertime mix and I love how they match perfectly to these papers.

I've also added some wide satin ribbon and a strip of pink crochet lace to further embellish.

Well that's all from me for this week.  Have a great day.

New Shop opening on Saturday!

I'm back again as my original post with this info has vanished lol.
Anyway, just thought i would leave you with the new shop details for now :)

Smell The Flowers

Hello, Kitty here and I am back with a card finally :)
It is only a quick one that i managed to do as i had a spare bit of time i just miss crafting so much at the moment i just had to do something, so i got out my brilliant Jofy Stamps and my inks and here is what i came up with...
I created the background using some Distress Inks and a brush. I then stamped the Jofy flowers all from the Jofy 09 set and coloured them with my Copics. To finish i simply stamped the sentiment onto white card and created a fishtail at one end then mounted the whole piece onto kraft. It didn't take very long to do at all really. I did do another one too but i will save that for another day ;)

Thanks for stopping by :)

Hobby House Toppers - Baking with Grandma

Hello Everyone! Jane here today and I have a couple of cards to share with you which I made using some of the beautiful new Hobby House toppers. These are great for making quick cards or when you just don't have time to colour an image. I have used the 'Baking with Grandma' set which is available here from My Mum's Craft shop.

I used some older Carta Bella papers on my cards as they were a perfect match and also added some heart pins tucked behind the flowers I added to my first card. The small cream flowers are new in at My Mum's Craft shop and you can get them here.

I used a Go create die to cut the base card for my second card and added more Carta Bella papers. The sentiments I used on both my cards are from Craftwork cards. Make sure you check out all the other lovely toppers from The Hobby House they are a great addition to your stash to have on standby when you are in a rush! Have a lovely Sunday.

Tweet Hearts

Morning All :)

This week, I found myself with a bit of a problem. I have these rather gorgeous The Hobby House Wee Stamps Toppers Love Me Do Panels, and not one single paper to match them. Frustrating, because I wanted to show you how pretty they are.

So, I decided to do something CAS and WOW, (loving the acronyms this morning Peeps) which seemed to work well with bringing our Spots and Stripes Week to a close. Two birds and all that!! ;) Naturally, I packed a few Die-Namics on here. I used Rounded Banner Stax, Royal Leaves and Rolled Flower. And you see that rather scrummy button inside the flower? That's from The Hobby House Fancy Buttons Pearl/ Caberchon Mix. Job done!

Happy Birthday Dad

Morning everyone, it's Shelly here with my card for this week's Dots and Stripes theme.  I have to say this is one of my favourite themes yet, I LOVE dots and most cards I make have dots on somewhere !

I decided to go for another masculine card this week and made a birthday card for Dad using the Teddies Printed Panels by Wild Rose Studio.  As well as getting 8 ready coloured panels in the pack you also get 4 black and white panels too and I decided to use one of these and colour it with my Copics so I could match it exactly to my papers.  I've also done another sky background using B0000 and basically dotting the pen around creating a cloud effect.

The papers are from the brand new Dots and Stripes Bundle of Joy Boy 6 x 6 paper pad by Echo Park.  I've distressed the edges of my panels and matted them onto brown cardstock.

I've used some navy baker's twine and a big blue button to finish and the sentiment is from the Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler set, I just love the fun type styles in this set.

Hope you all have a great day.

Wheel love!

Hi everyone!

It's Day 2 of our DT theme of Dots and Stripes...

I've chosen to use Wheel Love by The Cats Pajamas. I've coloured with copics and laid down the grass with lyra pencils. These pretty papers are MME Memorable which is really funny cos I just had to check the front of the pad to check the name!! ha ha. The sentiment comes with the stamp. I added a cute little scalloped border using Small Scallop Border Dienamic.

Come back tomorrow for more dotty/stripey fun! x

Spots and Stripes week at My Mum's Craft Shop

Hello Everyone! Jane here today and I am kicking off a 'Spots and Stripes' theme week today on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog. We have finally started to see a little bit of Sun so I thought I would make a nice cheery card using some of the gorgeous new Echo Park papers from the Sweet Girl pad.

I used a spotty paper from the pad to layer some of the gorgeous flower paper onto and sewed around the edges. I used some stripey which I wrapped with a lovely springy yellow ribbon.

The stamp I have used is from My Favourite things and is called 'Party time' she is available here from My Mum's Craft shop. I coloured her in with my Promarkers and cut her out leaving a small border before adding her to the card with foam pads. I finished with a sentiment, some flowers from my stash and stick on pearls. I hope you have a lovely Weekend!

Simple JOFY

Hello Again :)

I enjoyed playing with the Paper Artsy JOFY Collection Stamps last week, so I though I'd have another pop! I've used Collection 11 and Mini 13. I wanted to do something along the lines of the Spot Lighting Technique, and this is my twist on it. I kept the backbround pretty clean too, and this text paper from the Bazzill Basics Licorice Pad was just perfect for that. Simples!

Before I head off, April Release Die-Namics are on their way and should arrive next week... Whooppee! And check out the New Arrivals in April Section of The Store. It's full of Inkylicious Stamps, Flowers, Charms, Ribbons, Pins, Flat Back Gems and Toppers. But be quick, all these goodies literally fly out the door faster than Kitty can load them into the Shop! Have a great weekend...

Die-ing to see some flowers!

Morning All :)

With Mother Nature not being so forthcoming with Spring, I thought I'd make some flowers of my own! Plus, I was die-ing to play with my new Die-Namics Flower Box Die from the March Release. Of course, it's not long until the April Release now, watch out for peeks, they'll be coming soon. Don't forget if you want to use the Flower Box Die, or the Woven Basket Die, you'll need the Trapezoid Treat Box Die to hep make the boxes too.

What else have I used? Well, I hit the Die-Namics hard! You've got some Die-Namics Winter Roses, Royal Leaves and Rustic Hearts. Easy Peasy. The papers are My Minds Eye Collectable Notable. And for my fellow MME fans, I have it on good authority, the latest releases will be in Store by the end of April. Whoot!

And one more little snippet of Enabler Gossip... check out the New Arrivals in April Section of The Store. It's freshly stacked with Flowers, Charms, Ribbons, Pins, Flat Back Gems and Toppers. But be quick, all these goodies literally fly out the door faster than Kitty can load them into the Shop!

Happy Days!

Hi everyone, it's Shelly here, hope you all had a fabulous Easter and got lots of chocolate goodies!

It's a free theme week this week so I thought I would make a boy's card for a change.

I love The Cat's Pajamas stamps and as this is the only one I own (up to now lol !) I thought I would ink him up for this card.  This stamp is called Take Off  and he was just fab to colour with my Copics.  I've attemped to make a bit of a sky background using B000 and it is quite effective if you don't look too close lol !

The papers are Boy Crazy by My Minds Eye andI've distressed all the edges and faux stitched each panel before matting everything onto red cardstock.

I've added some embellishment with the Memory Box Puffy Clouds die which I've ran through the Big Shot in a polka dot embossing folder just to lift them a bit and I've also used the Crafts Too Frames 8 dies for my bracket and scallopy bit at the bottom.

I'm never comfortable doing male cards but I'm really pleased with how this one turned out.

Enjoy your day everyone.

Hi, MMCS lovers! Hope you're enjoying your bank holiday weekend! Today's card is one for our new Challenge which this month is Easter or Easter colours. A nice and easy theme so we hope to see lots of fabbie entries this month! To see the rest of the DT's work and/or enter the challenge, have a look at the previous post.

I've used this adorable MFT stamp called Doodle Garden Hunny Bunny. What I love about this stamp is that, yes, it is an obvious Easter stamp but because of the cute sentiments that come with it, you can use if for other occasions too. Anyhoo, I've coloured her with copics and paper pieced her hairband, leggings and top. These pretty papers are new from Prima called Hello Pastel. I've used Let's Chat, Rolled DaisyRounded Banner Stax and Medium Scallop Border Dienamics. Must also say that I've used an old MFT Challenge sketch.

How cute are those bunny ears?
