A Hearty Hello

Afternoon everyone :), thank you for stopping by so late on in the day.

I'm having some seeeerious technological issues lately. My poor laptop is on it's way out me thinks. The laptop itself is fine, but my screen keeps turning itself off and flickering. It seems to be having a good day today.. so we'll so how long it takes me to type this blog post up. Fingers crossed all goes well and I'll get a few more scheduled! :)

So!! It's a free week over at My Mum's Craft Shop so I decided to use some Tiddly Inks goodness! :)

I used the adorable Fairy Heartfelt along side one of the sentiments.
I coloured her up using ProMarkers and FlexMarkers - I kept the background very simple, but looking back I wish I had gone all out with hills and sky (I didn't know I was going to be using her on a calendar easel card) - next time! :)

I cut up a bunch of papers from My Minds Eye Collectable - Memorable collection (I only have a few slices of this paper left, it seriously pleases me when I actually start to use up a paper pack - makes more room for new stuff, right? HAH!)

I wanted to layer up my die cut oval onto a scalloped shape - but the only one I had was huuuuuuuge, so instead I pulled out my Bo Bunny Doilies which I had yet to break out!! Perfect for the job. I cut a chunk out the middle to make sure it fit around my oval nicely.

I finished the design off with some Prima flowers and Hobby House Rhinestones in Jade Green. Just delicious. Oh, and I, once again, used the Tonic Edger Punch 2 to create a mat beneath my floral paper.

Again, thank you for stopping by. Be sure to stop by for daily inspiration! xo

If you wish upon a star....

Hello Everyone! Jane here today with my weekly post using some of the gorgeous products you can find at My Mum's Craft Shop. I have made a new baby card to show you this week using the adorable Party Paws baby stamp which is available here at My Mum's Craft Shop.

I used papers from the My Mind's Eye Chalk Studio pad and kept my layout very simple adding a strip through the centre of my card to stamp the sentiment. The image was coloured with Promarkers and Graph'it markers and cut out leaving a small border before adding it to the card.

Here is a little close up. He is so cute! I couldn't resist giving him little rosy cheeks! I added a few little wooden stars to finish off the card and a blue button with a little ribbon tab tucked behind it. I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

All the Trimmings

Oi, oi!

It's all about Non-traditional Christmas Colours this week, here at My Mum's Craft Shop. I decided to keep the background plain and then use my colours in the image. The stamp is one of the cute new images from Little Miss Muffet Stamps. This is Swings n Slides All the Trimmings... cute, huh?

I'm also in lust with this Joy Crafts Snowflake Die. You know when you buy something and you just know you are going to use it alot...? Talking of which, the house is quiet...

Snow Buddies

Hi all,

Its Lyndsey here and today its my turn to show you a little inspiration here on the Blog, and our theme this week is None traditional Christmas Colours.

Now I have to admit I was a bit stumped on this as all my xmas papers were the usual reds, greens, blues etc. Then I had a brainwave and decided to use a none xmas pad and used a couple of sheets with a more generic pattern in them.

I used an adorable Tiddly Inks stamp - Winter Wishes and teamed it with some gorgeous Echo Park papers - Here & Now. I kept the card quite simple just adding a few snowflakes and bit of satin ribbon.

I hope my card has showed you how you don't need to spend lots on new paper for christmas but to be a bit wise with the papers you may already have.

Please do keeping popping back during the week to see more inspiration from my lovely team mates.

A cute snowman for non Traditional Christmas colours

Hello Everyone! I hope you are well and had a good week. Jane here today and I am kicking off a 'Non traditional Christmas colours' week. I used pink and aqua papers from the Echo Park Bundle of Joy girl pad for my card and a gorgeous Pure Innocence Snowman stamp.

I coloured the image using Promarkers and then die cut it into a circle and added it to another cut from kraft card before adding it to my card. I sewed around the edges of all my papers and added some die cut snowflakes and a lovely big button.

Here is a close up of my image, he is so adorable and is very quick to colour in so is perfect for those quick last minute cards! I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

Winter Birthdays Week on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog

Hello Everyone! Jane here today and I am starting off a 'Winter Birthdays' week onNor the My Mum's Craft Shop blog today. I have used some of the gorgeous Bazzill Basics Nordic Pines papers on my card which are a beautiful rich red and have some lovely doilies on them. The stamp I used is Winter Fox from Lawn Fawn and I stamped the sentiment which comes with him onto a Dienamics Snowflake Splendour die.

I inked around the image which I had coloured in with Promarkers using Tea Dye distress ink and then layered it on to some dark brown card.

I added the sentiment snowflake above the image and another die cut snowflake below which I topped with a button tied with twine. I hope you have a lovely Sunday.
