BBQ anyone?

Hi all

Lyndsey here with my regular Monday inspiration posting here on the MMCS Blog.

This week its all about CAS (Clean & Simple), when I think of CAS I always lean towards making a male card. Mainly because I do struggle with embellies on male cards and doing them CAS just makes it a bit easier lol.

Anyway for my card I decided to use BBQ Chester, he is such a cheeky chappy and this image is just perfect for this time of year don't ya think?

I teamed Chester with some funky chevron paper from MME - Here is Happy paper pad and added just a bit of twine and a wooden button to finish. The sentiment is from CC Designs - Happy Day, to add a bit of interest I used a shaped card blank.

Together Forever

Hey guys!
Tuesday already??
I guess that means my turn to share a card in this weeks free theme here at My Mum's Craft Shop.
This time I chose a quick topper to complete my project. these lovely images from Wild Rose Studio are perfect for a quick summer wedding card for the happy couple.

I created a round card blank, and then added papers from the sweet Bo Bunny "Primrose" pad... I popped on some lace and a vine like die cut from Wild Rose Studio called "Leafy branch"...then I used a couple of really old punches for the flowers, added stickles and heart pearls and fussy cut a sentiment from an old stamp set of mine with wedding sentiments . The image itself is from a topper pack "Romantic Panels
So I hope you like my offering today... please pop back everyday to enjoy lots and lots of fabulous inspiration.. and have a super crafty day

Paint it happy!

Hi all

Lyndsey here with my regular Monday inspiration post here on the MMCS Blog. This week its another free week so I decided to have a play with my new package of goodies from the shop.

I am a big fan of the Hobby House Toppers and think they make a fabulous card and are just perfect for when I can't be bothered to colour or am short on time - which seems to happen a lot just lately.

Anyway for my card today I used a Topper from one of the designs by Elisabeth Bell - and I just love this little cutie.

I teamed the image with some bright and fresh papers from the MME - Milo Pad (I really do love a blue & yellow combo) and added a few flowers, gems & a button from the £1 Embellishment range. The sentiment is from CC Designs Happy Day - I love the funky font and greetings on this set. I stamped the sentiment onto velum as I have been seeing this look about quite a lot lately and think it looks fab!

A card for Dad

Hello Everyone! Jane here today with another card made using the Carta Bella 'It's a Celebration' paper pad which is available here from My Mum's Craft Shop. As soon as I saw the paper patterns in the pad, I thought of funky summer shirts and used the Clearly Besotted 'Super Dad' stamps to create the shirts.

I added buttons to all the shirts and pockets to a couple of them before cutting them out and adding them to the card with foam pads. I stamped the sentiment on to vellum before stitching it on the card centre panel.

Here is a little close up of the sentiment and the shirts. I had so much fun choosing the patterns and making each shirt look different from the last one. I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

Happy Summer for Spots and Stripes week.

Hello Everyone! Jane here today with a little taste of Summer to celebrate the lovely Sunshine we have had this week here in the South. We are having a Spots and Stripes week starting today on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog. I used papers from the Carta Bella 'It's a Celebration' pad which is available here from My Mum's craft Shop.

The image panel was created using stamps from the Lawn Fawn 'Happy Summer' set and they were great fun to colour in. I die cut the finished image with an oval dienamics die.

Here is a close up of my image all coloured in with a variety of alcohol markers. I added some embellishments from my stash, including a stripy brad which fitted the theme very well!
Please join us for the rest of next week for more Spots and Stripes inspiration from the DT.
Have a lovely Sunday!

Mama Elephant New Baby cards

Hello Everyone Jane here today,  apologies for my absence last week, I have been suffering with yet another bout of stubborn bronchitis. I have had another 2 courses of antibiotics and my chest is feeling a lot clearer but I am very tired! I have 2 more Mama Elephant cards to share with you today. I told you I was addicted to these new stamps!

Both cards were made using the Mama Elephant 'Nursery Deco' set and scraps of paper. The layouts are very simple and have very few embellishments. I used the Dienamics stitched circles on my first card for the little bear to sit in and added a wooden button from The Ribbon Girl.

The little giraffe on this card was paper pieced with gingham and white paper and I simply added a paper flower and stick on pearl as a finishing touch. I hope you have a lovely Sunday!
