WPlus9: Hey Sunshine

Hi everyone!

Simonne here with a card to share using some WPlus9 dies. WPlus9 is a relatively new brand to the craft market, but I absolutely adore their products.

Supplies
WPlus9 Sunshine Layers die set
WPlus9 Hey Hi Hello die set

Bazzill cardstock: Coconut Swirl, Fig Swirl, Lava, Banana Bliss, Grapefruit Bliss, Sour Apple
SU cardstock: Tempting Turquoise
Pretty Pink Posh sequins: Sparkling Clear 4mm & 6mm

I used the WPlus9 Sunshine Layers die set to cut all the elements for my card, with the exception of the "hey", which was cut using the WPlus9 Hey Hi Hello die set.  This die set is not showing in the store at the moment, but if you drop Kitty a line, I'm sure she'll be able to order it for you.
I used some Tumbled Glass distress ink to add a little bit of colour to the background before adding my die cuts, and I popped the main die-cut panel up using some funky foam.  I find this to be a lot quicker than using foam pads when popping up a large areas of cardstock.

I have tried to be really good and curb my crafty spending since the beginning of the year, but I just couldn't resist ordering a couple of products from the latest WPlus9 February release!  So the new Bountiful Blooms die set and the Foxy Friends die set will be coming to live with me very soon!  Check out all the new products in the store HERE.

Thanks for dropping by.

Blooming Birthday Wishes

Hi everyone and happy Thursday!  It's Shelly with you today with some birthday card inspiration.

You may know I am a huge fan of Stamping Bella Uptown Girls and this beauty has to be one of my favourites to colour.  This is Fiona Loves Flowers and luckily she has just come back into stock here so be sure to grab yourself one before she disappears again!

I decided on a red white and black theme to make the beautiful poppies stand out and I've coloured her in with Copics.

The animal print paper is from the My Favourite Things Wild Prints paper pad which is out of stock at the moment unfortunately but if you email Kitty she will be able to add it to her next order.

I've kept the embellishment quite simple with a felt flower made using the Dienamics Pretty Posies die and button stitched in the centre.  This is always my go-to flower die, I think it's just stunning in its simplicity and looks so pretty layered up.  I've hand cut a couple of green felt leaves to go with it and added a couple of red cardstock flags to finish off.

I couldn't decide whether to make it a Mother's Day card or a Birthday card so I went with Birthday in the end as I know I for one would love to receive this card for my birthday.

There are loads of fab new things arriving in the store at the moment so be sure to keep checking back to make sure you don't miss out!

Have a great day everyone.

I used some very pretty Carta Bella papers from my stash for the card and layered the centre panel on to red card before adding some stitching. I used some hemp ribbon to wrap the panel before adding lots of pretty embellishements and a sentiment from Hero Arts.

Here is a little close up of the image. I love all he details, Stamping Bella images are really so lovely to colour in! I hope you have a lovely Tuesday!

You're Out of this World

Hi everyone

It's Shelly up on the blog today and I've got something out of this world to show you!

I see so many amazing watercolour cards around at the moment and Rich bought me a set for Christmas so I thought I would give them a go and make a background.

It took me quite a few attempts until I was happy with it and I still need some practice but I thought it made a good 'outer space' backdrop for my card.

The stamps are all from the brand new February release by MFT called Out of This World and they are available here.  I've coloured them with Copics and then fussy cut them before mounting them randomly onto my card with foam pads.

I think this is definitely going to be a popular set so grab yours now so you don't miss out.

That's all from me today.  Have a great Thursday

Somewhere Over the Rainbow

Hey there everyone, it's Shelly here to brighten up your Sunday with a new card I made yesterday.  I hope you have all had a fantastic weekend.

It was pouring down all day in the North East yesterday so what better day to do some crafting right?  It was my birthday last week and I was lucky enough to get some of the brand new MFT dies from my hubby and I couldn't wait to play.

I made a sky background panel using watercolour paints but I ended up covering most of it up in the end so you can only just to say see it at the top.

I started off die cutting my clouds from white cardstock using the MFT Stitched Cloud Edges die which is available here.  I only stuck them down at the edges so I could slot my rainbow and sunshine behind them before glueing them down at the end.

I cut my rainbow using the Stitched Rainbow die which you can buy here and played around for ages before I was happy with the colours lol!  While I was sticking it down I had the 'red and yellow and pink etc. etc. rainbow song going round in my head!!

The sunshine is also from MFT and it's available here.

I die cut my letters using the same colours to match the rainbow and then added some white faux stitching around them with a gel pen.  You can't really tell on the photo but I've added spots of glitter all over my clouds....because who says clouds can't be glittery right !

I absolutely love how it has turned out and it really did brighten up a dreary day.

Thanks for stopping by.

MFT Stamps: Undeniable Chemistry

Hi everyone!

Simonne here with a card to share using some new goodies that I bought last month from My Mum's Craft Shop. I have been a fan of My Favorite Things for many years, and as Kitty will confirm, I usually buy one or two items from each release (...okay, maybe a few more than one or two, haha!).  I simply couldn't resist the LLD Undeniable Chemistry stamp set and coordinating Die-namics Chemistry Set from the MFT Stamps January 2016 release.

I used distress inks to colour both my background and the "liquid" parts of the test tubes and beakers, then randomly flicked drops of water for the "bubbles".  The stitched rectangle is from the Die-namics Blueprints 20 set (one of my favourite set of Blueprints).

The brand new My Favorite Things February 2016 release is now available in the store, along with lots of other gorgeous new products, so maybe a few new stamp and die sets might just *have* to come live with me, haha!

Thanks for dropping by.

Adorable Elephants

Have you seen the cute Adorable Elephants from MFT stamps!!???
I grabbed my Aqua Tints for watercolouring, and my Distressed Patterns Stamps and created my latest make...
The sentiment comes from the Adorable Elephants stamp set, I made it white on black for a sharp contrast, then I added sequins to finish. Check out the store for all the latest MFT releases, there is sooo much cuteness to be found.
Have a fun crafty day!

Happy Birthday to Ewe!

Hello Everyone! I hope you are well and had a good start to the week. Jane here today with a card I made using the 'Ewe are the best' stamp set from My Favourite things which is available here from My Mum's Craft shop.

I paper pieced the little hilltop using some papers from my stash and then stamped the little sheep on the scene before stamping him again on to white card and colouring him in with Promarkers.

I then cut out all the pieces and added them to card framing the little scene with black card. I added some narrow gingham ribbon and a heart button as a finishing touch and a couple of little green pearls. I hope you have a lovely Tuesday!
